A Community Boathouse of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation
The George Pocock Memorial Rowing Center was built in 1994 by the George Pocock Rowing Foundation - a group of Seattle, Northwest, and National rowing enthusiasts - to honor the legacy of George Pocock by ensuring access to the formative, wonderful sport of rowing. The Center has evolved over the years with the growth of the sport and the city. The history of the Pocock Rowing Center has included high performance training for rowers at the youth, elite and adult level. Most importantly, the Center has been a wellspring for the love of the sport for thousands of athletes of all ages.
We hope to continue the legacy of George Pocock: Innovation, craftsmanship, and the generosity of knowledge.
